Abstract

The Advanced Visualization in Architecture, Civil Engineering and Urbanism Group (VideaLAB) develops its research at the School of Civil Engineering of the University of A Coruña, applying computer graphics technologies to all fields of the construction industry, either to represent future projects or to rebuild digitally the shape and appearance of past buildings. This paper describes the main research lines of the group and some of its more relevant projects.

A presentation of the VideaLAB group and its projects at the time: the Empty Museum and the Galicia Dixital installations, the SANTI terrain system, gigapixel and 360-degree capture, and the architectural visualization work for the Cathedral of Santiago.
